How to create sticky posts in WordPress based websites?

WordPress is a famous and powerful Open Source Content Management Software useful to create blogs or websites. There are plenty of plugins and themes available to create beautiful websites or blogs.

This article explains how to create a sticky post in WordPress based website. Keep that in mind that, your website template should support sticky posts to display them properly.

This article applies to:

  • WordPress 3.5.1 (Template: Magazine Basic)

Step (1). Log-in to your website and go to Edit Post page.

Step (2). In Publish section of the page (usually it appears right side), click on Edit link after Visibility: field.

Step (3). Now the Visibility: field will expand and display the option “Stick this post to front page”.

Step (4). Select the option “Stick this post to front page”, if you want to post the sticky post. Save your changes by clicking on OK button.

Step (5). Once you made the changes click on Publish/Update button to reflect your changes. If you want to publish later, just click on Save Draft button.

After Refreshing your web page, you will see published sticky posts on website’s front page.
