Microsoft Project 2013 – How to Open Project Options dialog?

Microsoft Project allows changing the Project options through the Project Options dialog. Through the Project Options dialog, we can change the display options, language options, customize the ribbon, etc.

This article explains, how to open the Project Options dialog.

This article applies to:

  • Microsoft Project 2013.

Step 1. Open the Microsoft Project application and then click on the File menu. Microsoft Project will display a list of menu items.

Step 2. From the list of menu items; click on the Options menu item; to open the Project Options dialog.

It provides the options for working with Project; options to control how Project content is displayed on the screen; options related to scheduling, calendars, and calculations. It also contains the options to control how Project corrects and formats the text displayed; options to control how the Projects are saved; options to set the Language preferences; and Advanced options for working with the Project.

It also provides the options to customize the Ribbon control, where it displays the control icons to control the Project. You can also manage Add-Ins through this dialog.

Step 3. Change the options you would like to; once the changes are done, click on the OK button to apply the changes or click on the Cancel button to cancel the changes.

Depending on the options set, the Project will behave.
