Google Chrome – Manage Passwords

Whenever you login into the website in Google Chrome, you need to provide the User credentials. If you have multiple websites, it is a bit difficult to remember all these passwords and enter the credentials, every time you log in.

Google Chrome provides an option to save the passwords; and it automatically logs in to the websites, using the saved passwords. This will save your time, and if you forget your password; you can get the password details from Chrome.

In this article, I am going to explain how to manage passwords in Google Chrome.

I have verified this on Google Chrome Version 69.0.xxxx.xx (Official Build) (64-bit)

Step 1. Open Google Chrome. At the top right, click on the Chrome menu to “Customize and control Google Chrome”. It will show the menu to select the options.

Note that, when you click on the Never button when Chrome prompts you to save the password; the website entries will be displayed under the “Never Saved” section. This enables Chrome not to prompt to save the passwords for the listed websites under this section.

Step 9. Google Chrome doesn’t allow you to see the password directly; you must have to provide your System credentials. This is multi-factor authentication, provides more security. If you are using Windows; it displays a “Windows Security” dialog to prompt you to enter your Windows credentials. You can enter the password and click on the OK button; to allow Chrome to show the saved passwords:
