The “Tip of the Day” dialog is useful to see helpful tips whenever we open the WinZip application. WinZip allows us to turn on or off this dialog when we open the WinZip application. This article explains how to do it.
This article applies to:
- WinZip 16.5
Step 1. Open WinZip application.
Step 2. Click on the Help tab from the Ribbon interface. Then click on the arrow mark on the Hints and Tips button. WinZip will display a pull-down menu.
Step 3. From the pull-down menu, click on the “Tip of the Day” menu item. It will open the “WinZip Tip of the Day” dialog.
Step 4. Click on the combo box which is before the Next Tip button. From combo-box, select the following:
- Select the “Always show tips at startup” item, when you want to show the “Tip of the Day” dialog whenever you open the WinZip application.
- By selecting the “Never show tips at startup” item, WinZip will not display the “Tip of the Day” dialog at application startup.
- You can select the “Show tips at startup if not opening an archive” item, to display the “Tip of the Day” dialog only when no archive is opened.
Step 5. By clicking on the Next Tip button, you can see the next tip(s).
Step 6. Once you made the changes in the “Tip of the Day” dialog, click on the Close button to close the dialog.
You can see the effect of the changes only once you restart your WinZip application.
