Visual Studio 2012 IDE displays a Start Page when we open the IDE. On the Start Page, Visual Studio displays the recent projects list on the left side of the page under Recent group. This article explains how to remove recent items from the recent list.
Step 1. Open Visual Studio 2012 IDE.
Step 2. You will find Recent items will be displayed on the left side of the Start Page.
Step 3. Right-click on the item you want to remove from the Recent list. Visual Studio will display a pop-up menu.
Step 4. Select the “Remove From List” menu item. Visual Studio will remove the item from the Recent list.
