Once the recording is done in Microsoft Teams, after the meeting is completed; we may need to share the recording with the attendees and also sometimes needed to allow them to download the recording. Microsoft Teams provides options to share the recording with the attendees and also allows them to download the recording. Through this article, we are going to see these options.
Step 1. Open Microsoft Teams recording.
Step 2. Click on the Share button. You will see a window to share the recording. It has two sections, Send link section & Copy link section.
Step 3. In the Send link section, add the list of people in the “To:” field to whom you want to give access to the recording. And add the message to display in the “Message…” field.
Click on the Send button to share the link of the recording to the list of people added. Once the link is shared, you will see a confirmation message.
Step 4. In the Copy link section, click on the Copy link to copy the link to the recording to share with the people. You can share the link over e-mail or through a message in the Chat window.
Note that, people who have access can only view the Teams recording.
Step 5. You might have noticed the link “Only the people you specify who have this link will have the access to view-only” or “People you specify can edit”.
If you see the link, “People you specify can edit” means, you already have the access to download the recording and you can skip below steps.
Step 6. Click on the “Only the people you specify who have this link will have the access to view-only” link to open, the Link settings window.
Step 7. To allow the people to download the recording, disable on Block download option. Once the changes are done, click on the Apply button to apply the changes.
