Microsoft Lync 2010 – Enable or disable automatically start Lync at Windows startup

We can enable or disable Microsoft Lync 2010 to start at Windows startup. If we enable it, every time when we start Windows, no need to check whether the Microsoft Lync application is running or not.

Below are the steps to enable or disable Lync to start at Windows startup:

Step (1). Open Microsoft Lync 2010 application.

Step (2). Click on the Tools menu. It will display a pull-down menu.

Step (3). From the pull-down menu, click on the Options menu item. Lync will display a “Lync – Options” dialog.

Step (4). From the “Lync – Options” dialog, select Personal item from the left side pane. Lync will display Personal related options in the right side pane.

Step (5). Now, select the “Automatically start Lync when I log on to Windows” option to enable Lync to start at Windows startup.

If you want to disable Lync to start at Windows startup, un-check the check box “Automatically start Lync when I log on to Windows”.

Step (6). Once you made the changes, click on the OK button to apply your changes.

Next time, when you restart your system, based on the settings you made, Lync will start at Windows startup. If you enable it, Lync will automatically start; otherwise, it will not automatically start at Windows startup.
